Irmgard Ritchie Kindergarten is a spacious kindergarten which has a large outdoor area with fabulous mature trees, and a new wilderness area that is continually developing giving the children and families opportunities to learn about caring for the environment.
Irmgard Ritchie Kindergarten offers:
- An exciting programme following the interests and passions of the children.
- An environment in which learning is celebrated with displays around the kindergarten as well as in the portfolios.
- We encourage dispositions such as perseverance, passion, responsibility, curiosity and fun
- We value the family/whanau contributions to the portfolios and believe that the partnership between families and the teaching team is vital to the culture of the kindergarten and for the holistic development of the child.
- Within this culture the teaching team believes that the children should be affirmed as individuals and promotes learning in a positive manner.
- As a team we believe it is essential to have a warm, safe, challenging and welcoming environment, where children are able to actively explore, learning to respect others around them
