Cottle Kindergarten is a well resourced and maintained, two teacher Kindergarten that provides education for 30 morning children and 30 children afternoon. We offer 5 morning sessions and 3 afternoon sessions, and a stimulating programme that fosters caring for the natural environment and each another.
Features of Cottle are:
- A large area of play space indoor and out
- A hands on ICT area for the morning children.
- Experiences of cooking and gardening
- learning about recycling and maintaining a worm farm
- We encourage responsibility and independence
- We encourage perseverance and support children with problem solving
- We use positive guidance techniques and use ‘Playing as a Good Friend’ programme to support this.
- We empower children and their families/whanau to participate together in their learning.
