Brown Owl Kindergarten is at 5 Aniseed Grove, Timberlea. We offer early childhood education for 3-5 year olds. Session times are 8.30-2.30 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with 5 teachers, 8.30-12.45 Wednesday and Friday with 4 teachers.
- Our philosophy is based on Whakawhanaungatanga – building relationships. Within this the teaching team strives to develop a collaborative learning community.
- Our kindergarten offers a supportive learning environment for children to follow their interests and to be challenged.
- As part of our kindergarten culture we believe that fun is an integral part of learning.
- Respect ourselves, Respect others and Respect the environment are the foundations of our positive guidance programme.
- We are part of the Enviro Schools Project and are currently working towards a bronze medal in Environmental Sustainability.
Our Aim:
To help children to grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body, and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.
