Birchville Kindergarten is situated between Akatarawa Road and Main Road North in a residential area with a rural outlook. The kindergarten backs onto the Birchville School grounds and bush reserve.
- We offer five, five hour morning sessions per week.
- We have a roll of forty children and five teachers.
- We are proud of our natural outdoor environment including a wilderness area and peace garden.
- We encourage the children to become involved in caring for the environment.
- Our programme is child-initiated, meaning we follow the interests of the children with a focus on early literacy and mathematical skills in all curriculum areas.
- We are a culturally diverse community of learners and our families' contributions are valued and encouraged.
- We have lots of fun as we explore, discover and make meaning of the world around us.
